Edith M. Sharp Piper Carter, age 81 of Monticello, passed away Friday, January 31, 2025, at her home. She was born November 15, 1943, in Grapevine, AR to the late Oliver and Lera Sharp.
She was a homemaker, retired factory worker and was of the Southern Baptist faith. Mrs. Edith loved working puzzles and spending time with her cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eddie Piper and her second husband, Preston Carter.
She is survived by two sons, Harrell Harvey Piper and wife Karen of Monticello and Shane Piper and wife Kimberly of Benton; two granddaughters, Taylor Piper Boring and husband Parker of Liberty, KS and Payton Piper of Benton; and two grandsons, Ryan Piper Koehne and husband Aaron of Espyville, PA and Paxton Piper of Benton.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Prairie Grove Cemetery with Rev. Joe Chambers officiating. There will be a visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. You can sign Mrs. Edith’s guestbook registry on this website.
