Yovonda Dionne Hewitt was born to Vincent Hewitt and Jacqueline Jackson on December 3, 1980. She was born premature and barely weighed four pounds at birth. Although she may have been tiny, I’ve never met a child with as much determination as Vonda. Yovonda grew up in Oakland, CA living with three of her siblings and mother. Yovonda only grew up with Tashama, Kiawa, and De’Orian but later reconnected with her five other siblings, Candace, Kim, Monique, Jarrard, and Jerisha, as she grew up. Yovonda grew into a beautiful young woman, of course, this led to her having her only son, Omari, as a teenager. Her and her son were inseparable. She later had three additional kids over the years. She had three daughters, Kenaylah, Kenya and Sanaa. For the past six years, she had been living with her father in Arkansas. Although she was met with some misfortune and became distant from most of her family and kids, she never gave up on them. She did manage to reconnect with her father after twelve years and with her daughter, Kenya, after nine years. Kenya and Vincent worked with Vonda to strengthen their relationships with her. Since the misfortune took place, she has regained her since of purpose, got her life together and found GOD! Yovonda is survived by numerous loving family members and friends including her special friend, Luther Thrower, and best friend, Marlena Monique Chavis. While in Arkansas, these two are the ones that helped her father keep Yovonda in order. If you know Vonda, then you know…. They also distracted her mind and gave her the opportunity to have fun and LIVE LIFE! Besides all of that, Yovonda had such a kind and loving soul. She’s been wronged so many times but that didn’t stop her from giving everyone her all. She spent her last years on earth working on herself so she could be the best version for her kids. All she wanted was a relationship with her kids and for them to share the love of God together.
