David Eugene Derryberry, age 71, a lifetime resident of Tillar, Arkansas passed away April 12, 2025, at McGehee Hospital in McGehee, Arkansas. He was born October 10, 1953, in Monticello, Arkansas to the late Betty Cherry Derryberry and Gerald Derryberry.

He graduated from Clinton High School in Clinton, Arkansas. He worked at Dura Craft Boat Company, Binkley in Dumas and Potlatch (Clearwater) where he later retired from. He was also a Volunteer Fireman for the Tillar Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Derryberry. His survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Debbie Walton Derryberry of Tillar; daughter, Davida Derryberry of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Seth Derryberry, Shelby, Lynn and Elizabeth Steward; a son, David Dean Derryberry of Conway; two sisters, Barbara Derryberry of Covington, TN and Phylliss Derryberry Hogue of Tillar; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting at the Mt. Tabor Hunting Club, fishing, and was an avid Razorback fan. After retiring he enjoyed woodworking and making things for his house. We would like to thank the McGehee Hospital staff and doctors for taking such great care of David during his sickness. Also for the prayers, encouragement, support and love that carried us through the difficult times as David moved from his earthly journey to his heavenly home.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Tillar Cemetery with Bro. Roger Pierce and Mike Ragan officiating. There will be a visitation preceding the service from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery. You can sign David's guestbook here on his page.
