Annette Kellum Hall, age 65 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord August 6, 2009, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Born March 18, 1944 in Line, AR, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Jacob Kellum and Annie Christerlene Burchfield Kellum. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Kellum and her baby sister, Laura Jean Kellum.
She was the Department Head of the Division of Music at the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a member of the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. She was also a member and past-president of the National Federation of Music Clubs, Arkansas Federation of Music Clubs and the Monticello Music Club.
Mrs. Hall was a member of the National Association of Schools of Music, Music Educators National Conference, National Association of Teachers of Singing and Pi Kappa Lambda, which is a national music honor society. She established the Friends of Music scholarship at UAM to enable students to pursue their education in music. She was also selected in 1986 as a Distinguished Alumnus by the University of Arkansas at Monticello Alumni Association.
Survivors include her husband, Barry Hall of Monticello; two sons, Rev. Dane Hall and wife, Paula of Bryant and Christopher Todd Hall of Las Vegas, NV; one brother, N.L. "Donnie" Kellum and wife, Martha of Monticello; two grandchildren, Garrett Hall and Abigail Hall both of Bryant; five special nieces, Regina Rhodes, Gayle Brown, Michelle Lay, Kathy Lyon-Pace and Melissa Hauser; one nephew, Michael Kellum; and her extended family members, Linda Orrell and Trenia Martin.
Pallbearers are Mike Hall, Lawayne Young, Richard Russell, Larry Williamson, Billy Shelby, Benny King, Bobby Farley, Devin Burns and Wes Thompson.
