Otha Lee Ridgell, 65, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born May 9, 1944 in Drew County.

He was a retired truck driver for L. D. Long, a U. S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church. He was the son of the late Anthony Ridgell and Bertha Henley Ridgell.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Ridgell and wife Lisa, of Monticello; three daughters, Kathy Jordan of Monticello, Debri Blanks of Durham, NC and LaSonya Nolen and husband, Mitch ,of Fort Worth, TX; two brothers, Lewis Ridgell and wife, Marion of Chesapeake, VA and Author Ridgell and wife, Velma ,of Pine Bluff, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
