Tonya Renee Avant, 41 of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born February 21, 1968 in Little Rock.

She was a lab tech at Stant and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Funderburg and one brother, Jamie Gale.

Survivors include one son, Shawn Avant of Pine Bluff; one daughter, Shaina Avant of Pine Bluff; her mother, Diane Avant of Star City; one brother, Flint Funderburg of Bigelow; one sister, Samantha Dickey of Monticello; her grandmother, DeeMerris Lacey of Monticello.
