John Marion Hayden, 71, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born May 11, 1938 in Garrett Bridge (Desha County).

He was a retired maintenance worker at Drew Memorial Hospital and a member of Pleasant Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Marion Hayden and Verle Henley Hayden and was preceded in death by his wife, Ila Kile Hayden and three brothers, Jef Burnett, Kennon Burnett and Carol Burnett.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Hayden and wife, Barbara, Gary Hayden and wife, Katrina, and Roger Hayden and wife, Mandy, all of Monticello; one sister, Francis Harrison of McGehee; one granddaughter, Holly Lane; three grandsons, Matt Hayden, Jake Hayden and Mason Hayden; two great grandsons, Hunter Lane and Blaine Hayden.
