Jake Dylan Casteel 18, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 11, 1991 in Pine Bluff, AR.

He was a student, a 2009 graduate of Monticello High School and a member of Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His hobbies were music, playing the guitar, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Teresa and Ron Echols of Monticello; his father, Greg Casteel and special friend, Jo-Dee Russell of Casper, WY; two sisters, Callie Jo Frisby and husband, Matthew of Lonoke and Laura Ashton Casteel of Monticello; a special nephew, Samuel Ashton Casteel; two step brothers, Matt Echols and wife, Misty, and Drew Echols and wife, Ashley, all of Monticello; one step sister, Lindsey Echols of Bryant; grandparents, Arlen and Carolyn Casteel of McGehee and Joan Adcock of Monticello and the late John B. Adcock; and a host of aunts and uncles.
