Iwania Ann Donaldson Pierce, age 81 of Monticello, passed away June 1, 2015 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born November 13, 1933 in Arkansas City to the late Jack and Cecil Reppond Donaldson.
She was a homemaker and longtime member of Cominto Baptist Church. Iwania was the best mom ever and dearly loved her family. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Zan Pierce, Sr.; a daughter, Sharon Pierce Miller; a son, Rick Pierce; two brothers, Jack E. Donaldson and Bill Donaldson; and one sister, Lexa Donaldson.
She is survived by four sons, Zan W. Pierce, Jr., Roger Pierce (Wanda), Jay Pierce (Karen) all of Monticello and Danny Pierce (Debbie) of Hot Springs; three brothers, Keith Donaldson of Dermott, Floyd Donaldson of Cominto and Larry Donaldson of Selma; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Drew Memorial, Belleview Nursing Home and Rehab and Hospice Home Care for the kindness they showed our dear loved one.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Rash Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
