Sadie Verdell Brantley Halsey, age 85 of Monticello, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Belleview Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. She was born July 22, 1930 in Monticello, AR to the late William Russell Brantley and Appie Dorothy Griffith Brantley.

She was the widow of Milas Halsey, a homemaker and a member of the Fountain of Life Church in Monticello. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Brantley; and three sisters, Deana Corder, Mary Craddock and Myrtis Thurman.

Survivors include two daughters, Pam Gladden and husband Dennis of Monticello and Cynthia Trusty of Houma, LA; one sister, Kathleen Rawls of Monticello; and six grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Fountain of Life Church with burial in Union Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
