J.L. Prickett, age 62 of Wilmar, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born November 26, 1953 in Corsicana, TX to the late Oscar Leslie Galloway and Loney Moore Prickett Galloway.
He was a retired mechanic for Select Concrete and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lindsey Prickett; two brothers, Cecil and Calvin Prickett; and two sisters, Helen Whitehead and Allie Burdett.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Prickett of Ft. Worth, TX and Jimmy Prickett of Monticello; four daughters, Rae Lynn Macon and husband Mickey of Monticello, Jodie Polk of Abilene, TX, Katherine Prickett of Clyde, TX and Talida Prickett of Wilmar; four brothers, Walter Prickett, Emmett Prickett, E.C. Prickett and Leslie Tooter Galloway all of Texas; three sisters, Joyce Parmer and Billie Johnson both of Texas and Barbara Luttrell of New Mexico; three grandchildren, Ricky Windham and Tallen Macon both of Wilmar and Layla Prickett of Monticello; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 12, 2015 in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
