James “Jim” Floyd Wooten, age 59 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at his home. He was born June 12, 1957 in New Albany, IN to the late Thomas Dale Wooten and Margaret Eads Wooten.
He was a retired boiler maker, United States Army Veteran and was a member of Rose Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Chris Wooten and wife Hope of Lake Village and Michael Wooten and wife Emily of Alabama; two brothers, Tom Wooten and wife Shelly of Monticello and Jerry Dale Wooten of Louisville, KY; three sisters, Kim Berry and Teresa McCullough both of Monticello and Marilyn Rothwell and husband Lynn of Fordyce; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Andrews Chapel with Military Honors. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
