Sylvia Griffin Forrest, age 81 of Monticello, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR. She was born July 19, 1935 in Drew County to the late John Sykes Griffin and Josephine Sawyer Griffin.

She was the widow of Billy Forrest, a homemaker and a member of Enon Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Randy Forrest and friend Melissa Busch of Monticello; two daughters, Janet Hollingsworth and husband Butch of Palm Bay, FL and Judy Williams and husband Kent of Sheridan; two sisters, Barbara Martin and husband Robert of Monticello and Linda Heath of Deer Park, TX; one grandson, Jason Knight of Sheridan, one granddaughter, Amanda Phelps of Gainesville, FL, five great-grandchildren, one grand-dog, Jag, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. to service time Monday, April 17. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
