Merle Rodgers Hickam, age 84 of the Green Hill Community, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born March 26, 1933 in Drew County, AR to the late Lloyd and Lelia Mae Goyne Rodgers.

She was the widow of Billy Hickam, a retired secretary for Drew Central High School and a member of the Green Hill Community Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Kiefer; one grandson, David Bawcom; and one brother, Jimmie Rodgers.

Survivors include one daughter, Vickie Hickam McCall and husband Mike of Rowell; one grandson, Chris McCall of Little Rock; three granddaughters, Dawn Miles of Green Hill Community, Leslie McCall Taylor and husband Seth of Green Hill Community and Tera Rawls and husband Darren of the White Hall Community; seven great-grandchildren, Danielle, Zach, Brittany, Ian, Breanna, Olivia and Rylie; one brother, Ervin Rodgers and wife Sue of Crossett; three sisters, Christine Pennington and husband Hugh of Monticello, Aurelia Pennington and husband Nolan of West Fork and Dovie Reano of Ozark.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
