Sandra Louise Michael Bayird, age 58 of Hot Springs, formerly of Monticello, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at CHI St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs. She was born February 20, 1959 in Hot Springs, AR to Kenneth Michael, Sr. and the late Yvonne Gilmore Thompson. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by her baby sister, Kelly Davey; and her son-in-law, Lee Baggett who she thought of and loved as a son.
Sandra was a retired L.P.N. for 20 plus years and also worked as a substitute teacher. She was a Christian of the Baptist Faith and had received her minister’s license.
Survivors include her dad, Ken Michael, Sr. of Virginia; her loving husband of 39 years, Johnny Bayird of Hot Springs; one daughter, Christine Baggett; granddaughter, Jessica Baggett and boyfriend Joseph Davis of Warren; grandson, Dillon Baggett of Hot Springs; son, J.J. Bayird and fiancé Jennifer Alexander of Hot Springs; grandson, Jimmy Self of Clarendon; granddaughter, Elizabeth Self of Searcy; one brother, Ken Michael, Jr. and wife Lisa; nieces, Katana Ostic, Savannah Michael, Alicia Stevens all of Virginia; one sister, Pam Liles and husband Tony of Hot Springs; a sister-in-law, Pam Henry and husband Ricky; nephew, Andy Bayird and wife Jessica; great-nephew, Brayson; great-nieces, Stella and Breanne Bayird of Monticello; niece Holly Henry; great-nieces, Dixie and Lilly Henry of Monticello; brother-in-law Albert Davey; nephew, John Leonard and wife Ashleigh of Illinois; nephew, Markus Leonard and wife Jessica of Warren; niece Brittany Spears and husband Jacob of Monticello; and great-nephew, William Spears of Monticello.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
