Eurple McClure Joiner, age 93 of Monticello, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born March 20, 1924 in Stephens, AR to the late Cullen and Edna Bennett Allen.

She was the widow of John D. McClure, Sr. and Robert Joiner, a retired owner/operator of Dermott Florist and a member of the Church of Christ. Other than her husbands and parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, J. D. McClure, Jr.; one great grandson, Jamie Ellington; one brother, Hubert Allen; and one sister, Mary Bearden.

Survivors include two daughters, Ione Lloyd Easterling of Monticello and Linda Bates and husband Richard of Rye; four grandchildren, Lanelle Beavers and husband Rudy of Floyd, Michael Lloyd and wife Beverly of Monticello, Michelle Blake and husband Scott of Mt. View and Shanna Baker and husband Greg of The Woodlands, TX; thirteen great-grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Dermott Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
