Cherie Kellum Prince, age 63 of Monticello, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at the Woods Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. She was born March 24, 1954 in Monticello, AR to the late Charles Edward “Ed” Kellum and Pasty Ruth Barnett Kellum . She was retired dietitian at The Woods Nursing & Rehab, sales clerk and was a Christian of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Kellum and Jamie Kellum.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Dennis Prince of Monticello; one son, David Prince and wife Kim, whom she thought of as a daughter, of Monticello; one daughter, Misty Johnson of Monticello; one sister, Diane “Dee Dee” Kellum Smith of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren, Meagan and Scott Terrell of Wynne, Courtney Prince and Drew Adam, Josh and Megan Prince, Logan Gilliam and Valerie Maddox all of Monticello; one great granddaughter, Abigail Terrell of Wynne; a great friend whom she thought of a life sister, April Ross and dear friend John Wayne Ross; her cousin and life sister, more than a cousin, Annette West; and many more relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017 in Collins Cemetery with Rev. Steve Fleming officiating. Visitation 6:00-8:00 Monday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
