Dorothy Wilkes, age 68 of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Monticello, passed away September 28, 2017 at her home. She was born June 12, 1949 in Monticello, AR to the late Smedia Wilkes, Sr. and Mary Wilkes.

Her last employment was at Morehouse College of Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death two brothers, Smedia, Jr and Vance; and one sister, Linda.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her son, Lionel Wilkes; one grandson, Tre McQueen; her brothers, Garnett, Cleolen, Leonard (Sonja), Mark and Timothy; her sisters, Mary (Louis) Thompson, Bennie Wilkes, Pat Nelson, Shirley (Geneo) Tucker and several nieces, nephews and friends that she loved very much.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lorenzo Simmons officiating. Online guestbook pages www.stephensondearman.com.
