Bertha Ann Hilburn Perrigan Adams, age 72 of Monticello, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. How she died is unimportant; how she lived is important.
Ann was born October 10, 1945 to the late Robert and Irene McTigrit Hilburn. The third of four children, she was the one who smiled the most and had an ability to establish a heartfelt connection to everyone whose paths she crossed. Ann loved poetry and often tried her hand at writing. Her work was never published but was very special to her family. She had an open door policy both to her home and her heart. Ann didn’t live a large life, but she led a meaningful one. If asked about her life; she gave one answer - family. Ann lived every mother’s nightmare and buried two children. She survived knowing they would be reunited. It is with great joy that she was welcomed into her heavenly home by her parents; a sister, Dottie Williams; a brother, Robert G. Hilburn; her precious daughter, Kim; and her beloved son, Keith.
Those waiting to join her include her husband, Lee Adams; her son, Kevin Perrigan (Theresa); a sister, Crystal Sawyer (Patrick); one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren who called her Maw Ann, and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be missed, but her presence in our lives was her gift. Diabetes may have taken her body but not her joy.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Campground Methodist Church with Bro. Tommy Atkins and Bro. Jeremy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Campground Church. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
