Ray O. Dawson, Jr., age 73 of North Little Rock, formerly of Monticello, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at his home. He was born June 12, 1945, in Wichita, KS to the late Ray Otis Dawson, Sr. and Ruby Norene Adcock Dawson.
He was a retired broadcast engineer for Snyder Telecom, former part owner of KHBM Radio of Monticello, a United States Army Veteran and was of the Methodist faith. While in Monticello, Ray was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, former President of the Monticello Little League and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife, Carol L. Belcher Dawson of North Little Rock; two sons, Roddy Dawson and wife Beth of Conway and Jeff Dawson of North Little Rock; and five grandchildren, Jack and Ava Dawson of Conway and Drake, Reece, Gabi Dawson of Bryant. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello with Military Honors. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
