J. D. Edwards, 71 of Warren, AR, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born July 6, 1938 in Warren, AR.

He worked at Potlatch Mills for many years, and later worked in construction and cement finisher. He also worked on the Alaska Pipeline. He was the son of the late Robert Edwards and Easter Wells Edwards and was preceded in death by six brothers, George, Doyle, Reese, Van, Will and Herman Edwards, and two sisters, Velma and Mary Edwards. He was a member of Mt. Zion North Warren Church in Warren.

Survivors include his wife of 49 1/2 years, Bettye Edwards of Warren; one son, Robert Edwards of Hot Springs; three daughters, Belinda Madujibeya and husband, Sam of Garner, North Carolina, Jennifer Igbonagwam and husband, Isaac of Austell, Georgia, Lucinda Harris and husband, Donald of Little Rock,AR; two brothers, Lorenzo Edwards of Los Angeles, CA and J. C. Edwards and wife, Lula Jean of Milwaukee, Wisconson; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
