She attended school in Drew County and began work at an early age and spent most of her years as a homemaker. She attended St. Mary and Brooks Chapel through the years.
Ola married Kizer Handley who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her beloved daughter Ola Mae McKinley.
Ola enjoyed spending time with her family talking, laughing and watching the grandchildren, which she loved dearly. We the family hope to continue sharing her happiness.
She leaves to cherish the good times and memories, three sons, Johnny Ray Handley of Clarksville, Tennessee, Charles Bassett and Earnest (Loita) Handley of Monticello; three daughters, Wanda (Billy) Bryant of Crossett, AR and Jerelene Handley of Monticello; one sister, Annie Bell Ball of Racine, WI, a special grandson Timmy (Relonda) Batts of Monticello, that she raised as her son, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Death of Ms. Ola Lee Handley from this mortal state to immortality is a great loss and it is necessary to acknowledge it not only to your self-but to others. The adjustment will be easier for all family members by feeling free in expressing your respective grief. In addition to your feelings of despair and loneliness; you have to lose control of your emotions. Painful as it is, it is part of the normal grieving process. However, there is also an intensifying of faith in Jesus Christ, which gives you sufficient inner strength to carry you through this difficult period.
Finally, with the passing of time, there will be a gradual severing of Ola Lee Handley's thoughts and emotional ties. As you emerge from this bereavement, you will discover that you are a stronger person than you were before her death, you all will have gained a deeper faith, along with increased sensitivity, and greater understanding and compassion for one another and for others.
