Wilmar, AR Sunday, December 13, 2009 To my precious Aunt Myrt. What a blessing you were in my life. You were an inspiration to me..
No matter what happen in your life, you were always the same. You have a had lot of heartaches with love ones leaving this walk of life. But you always kept that smile and got up and put on your make up and dressed like a queen that you were. I never came to your house unless I had to eat with you.. You always had something good cooked. And oh those big fluffy angel food cakes were out of this world!! I will always
think about the happy days I had when Uncle Dolph & Aunt Claudine came home. We would get together and have so many laughs. So many memories we made..
I will always love you as the song goes.
Your loving niece

Greensboro, NC Saturday, December 12, 2009 Shelly, Sue, and family,We were very sad to hear that Aunt Myrtle had passed away last night. Aunt Myrtle was one of my favorite people on the Handly (or Handley) side of the family. She was such a lovely person and always was smilling and so positive. I will always remember how when you went to visit Aunt Mrytle, she was dressed just so and had her earrings on to complete her outfit.
We are thankful, we had the opportunity to visit with her a few weeks ago. At that time she was so excited about going to turn 100 years old next year! She even told me during our visit in November, that if she could still stand and walk, she would be teaching the people how to dance. When we left, we ask if we could take her back to the room, but she immediately told us she could win a race with anyone in her wheelchair and could make the trip by herself.
James Melvin and I will miss going to see her on our trips to Arkansas, but we will always remember her as one of James' greatest aunts. She was truly an amazing person and meant alot to both of us.
We love all of you and you will be in our prayers.
