John Wesley Carter, age 37 of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at his home. He was born January 10, 1979 in McGehee, AR to Ouida Lindsey Carter and the late Gordon Carter.

He was a farmer and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnny and Ruby Lindsey and Earl and Lois Carter.

Survivors include his wife, Whitney Pulley Carter of Monticello; five sons, Dylan Carter, Logan Carter, Lucas Young Carter, Jace Carter, Gabriel Smith; two daughters, Alana Carter and Hayden Carter; his mother, Ouida Lindsey Carter of Monticello; one brother, Timothy Carter and wife Tobie of Monticello; one sister, Tonya Smith and husband Jeff of Monticello; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
