Proma Lee Simpson was born January 11, 1938 in Drew County, AR to the late Arceola Simpson, Sr. and Martha Simpson. He was the oldest son of twelve children. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR.

Proma Lee was retired logger and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was united with the Green Mount Church in the Coleman Community. Proma Lee was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Johnny Simpson.

He leaves to cherish his memory six brothers, Lucius Juan Simpson of Monticello, A.C. Simpson, Jr. (Lillie) of Monticello, Charles Simpson of Bensenville, Il, Sammy Simpson, Sr. (Mary) of Monticello, David Simpson (Marilyn) of Taylor, MI, Eugene Simpson (Dale) of Monticello; five sisters, Carrie Mae Collins (Willie) of Detroit, MI, Mae Ruth Jones of Monticello, Linda Kaye Simpson of Monticello, Mae Lee Miller (Jerry) of Monticello, Onnie Simpson of Monticello; one uncle, A.W. Simpson of Monticello; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October, 22, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Mount Cemetery in the Coleman community. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com
