Linda Kay Fincher McKeown of Rock Springs left the bounds of earth June 3, 2017, to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born August 24, 1947 in Monticello, AR to the late Oscar and Louise Jones Fincher.

Joe and Kay met in 1965 shortly after graduation from high school and were inseparable from that time forward. Kay attended Arkansas A&M, now the University of Arkansas at Monticello, until they married in 1968. In 1969 they moved to Fayetteville where Kay worked while Joe pursued post graduate studies and taught at the University of Arkansas. In 1975 they moved to North Little Rock, AR. In 1979 Kay entered into her life's calling of being a wonderful and loving mother and homemaker when their son Nicholas was born. Katie joined the family in 1983. Kay was totally dedicated to taking care of Joe and her children and honoring her commitment to Christ and her church and to being a loyal and loving friend to so many. She was very active in the lives of her beloved grandchildren. In 2008, Joe and Kay returned to Drew County to live in the Rock Springs community.

Left to cherish her memory and await a glorious reunion are her husband of 49 years, Joe Loye McKeown; son, Nicholas Fincher McKeown and wife Jennifer; daughter, Kathryn Rebecca Higginbotham and husband Ben; sister Rebecca Humphreys and husband Mike; the delight of her life, seven wonderful grandchildren, Sean, Luke, Rebecca, August, Avery, Ty and Piper; plus numerous beloved family members and friends.

    Joe and family,

My prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time. It is hard to believe that your loved one is no longer here, for when she home with God she took a piece of your heart, the children, and grandchildren with here. Know that with the help of God, church family, and friends you will survive and she will always be with you forever in your heart and memories. God Bless you and your family
