Mrs. Lacey was a retired bookkeeper for the Teamsters Union and a private home caregiver. She was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Olen Funderburg and her second husband, Britton Lacey; her son, Don Funderburg; a granddaughter, Tonya Avant; two brothers, Reese Cowan and Dalphe Cowan; five sisters, Hazel Crain, Scotty Jolley, Lois Grubbs, Betty Holladay and Mary Francis Moore; and a daughter-in-law, Murlayne Funderburg.
Survivors include one son, Raymond Funderburg of Toney, AL; three grandsons, Dirk Funderburg and wife Lauren of Harvest, AL; Darin Funderburg and wife Cathy of Murfreesboro, TN; Flint Funderburg and Renee of Atkins; one granddaughter, Samantha Dickey and husband Richard of Monticello; ten great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Dowd officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
