He was faithful and deeply committed to his congregations throughout his appointments.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William McKinney and Matilda Miller Franklin; his brother, John W. Franklin, Sr.; and his grandchildren, Fredon Teamer and Travis Skaggs.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Helen D. Franklin, daughters, Shirley Franklin of Milwaukee WI, Lynn Skaggs of Hot Springs, AR, Marchelle (John) Odom, Aretha Franklin, Milwaukee, WI, Dorothy (Kason) Smith of Houston, TX; sons, Steven Bartmann of Philadelphia, Robert (Saisha) Thompson of Wichita, KS; his brother, Donald Franklin Sr. of Longview AR, his sister Matilda Jordan of Monticello AR; 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Milwaukee, WI Saturday, November 25, 2017 My dearest Granddaddy, I want you to know that through every test and trial these past months and even past year, I was there with you even when my touch was lost. I will miss everything about you and I will especially miss our shared mimics of "What I say?" followed by a laugh. Just know that whether it's my lowest day or most rewarding day, I will be looking up to say "What I say?" and "I love you". Watch over me and pray for us. We have big shoes to fill. I love you to heaven and back, forever and ever.Mr. & Mrs. Harold Hampton
