He was a Pastor currently serving with Anderson Chapel Baptist Church. Bro. Larry's hobbies included playing baseball & softball, hunting & fishing, and serving as a volunteer fireman with the Monticello Fire Department and rescue unit. However, his greatest love was his Lord and telling others about the good news of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Mickey Wilkerson.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Lynn Hamilton Wilkerson of Tyro; one daughter, Tara Wilkerson of Monticello; one son, Amos Wilkerson of Tyro; two brothers, Bill Wilkerson of Tyro and Ricky Wilkerson of Monticello; and two grandchildren, Cole Wilkerson and Layne Wilkerson.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with Rev. Zan Pierce and Rev. Tony Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Tyro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to service time. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
