Phillip "Phil" McCrory, age 68 of Monticello, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born June 20, 1949 in Lake Village, AR to the late Aron Curtis McCrory and Lois Wesson McCrory.

He was a retired supervisor in the Dye Department at Burlington Industries and was of the Baptist faith. Phil enjoyed fishing and was an avid sportsman. He played basketball, softball and baseball. He refereed many basketball games back in his younger days. He was a kind and loving husband, daddy, brother, papaw and friend, always putting family first. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Coslin McCrory; a son, Ro McCrory; and one brother, Curtis McCrory.

Survivors include one daughter, Misty Wilhite and husband Damon of Monticello; one brother, Larry McCrory and wife Brenda of Faribault, MN; one grandson, Cody Wilhite of Starkville, MS; two granddaughters, Reese Wilhite and Addison Wilhite both of Monticello; sisters-in-law, Vivian Judkins, Regina Coslin and Paulette Burks all of Monticello; a special and beloved friend, Wesley Jones of Monticello; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his beloved dogs, Coco and Star.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow at Gaster Hill Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
