Bobby Ray Wood, Sr., age 62 of Dermott, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at McGehee-Desha County Hospital in McGehee. He was born June 8, 1956 in Hampton, AR to Rosie Marie Lambert Wood and the late Chester Ray Wood.

He was a commercial fisherman and a Christian. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, joking around with people and playing with his grandchildren. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one son, James Garland Wood; and one brother, Earl Wood.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Ray Wood, Jr. and wife Ashley and Donald Dofflemyer and wife Shelby all of Dermott; two daughters, Edith Faulkner and husband Justin of OK and Barbara Steel of LA; his mother, Rosie Wood of Dermott; four sisters, Gladys Hudson of Dermott, Rose Mary Carrington of Warren, Beverly Pemberton of Monticello and Brenda Wesson of Fountain Hill; fourteen grandchildren and his fiancé, Jean Dofflemyer of Dermott.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Adams-Singer Cemetery in Bradley County. Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
