Charity Miller, age 67 of Star City passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Charity Ann Miller was born April 1, 1951, to James Weldon and Precious Jewell Blair Ridgell in Monticello, AR.

She was a member of the Monticello High School graduating class of 1970. After graduation, she moved to Detroit, MI, to attend college. She became the mother of Mark Ridgell who became the love of her life.

After returning to Monticello, she united with of Mt. Pleasant AME Church under the leadership of Rev. L.V. Tolefree and Rev. Jesse Washington. She met and married (Jeremiah) Carl Miller. Together they helped raise her niece, Candeace Ridgell and nephew, Daryl Ridgell.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her four brothers, Travis Ridgell, Troy Ridgell, Leon Ridgell and Evans Ridgell: three sisters, Narvis Harris, Maudell Ridgell and Willie Mae Ridgell.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Carl; her son, Mark; nine brothers, Chris Ridgell of Bloomfield, MI, Earl (Anna) Ridgell of Grand Blanc, MI, Donald (Maxine), Dwight, Douglas, Billy (Dantanese) and Bommie Ridgell, all of Monticello, AR, Candance Ridgell of Little Rock, AR, and Daryl Ridgell of Colorado Springs, CO; devoted cousins, Ronald Gene Davis, Barbara Blair, and Genevieve Stewart; and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
