She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and united with First Baptist Church. Later she reunited with Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She served on the Mother's Ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Ruthie Griffin; a special friend, Lonnie Walker; one grandson, Ricky (Lakeisha) Jordan; great grandson, Javaris Jordan; one granddaughter, Jaliah Jordan; five sisters, Martha Coleman, Mary (Lee) Hootsell, Maryland Shaw, Brenda Henderson, Debra (Roy) Bassett; two brothers, Tommy (Dee Dee) Shaw and Kyle Shaw, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
