W.T. Forrest, age 79 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019, at his home in Monticello. He was born February 28, 1940, in Drew County, AR to the late Samuel Jo Forrest and Myrtle Braden Forrest.

He was a retired logger having worked for Sammy McTigrit and Burton Nowlen and was a member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. W.T. loved to hunt and fish and visit with his many friends and family. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Forrest; three sisters, Christine Jackson, Luella Gibson and Velma McNeese; six brothers, Willie, J.D., Earl Lee, J.C., Alfred and Dixon Forrest; and one grandson, Brent McDougald.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Forrest of Monticello; four daughters, Anita Stafford and husband Charles of Perryville, Deanna Lasiter, Benita Burris and Pam McDougald all of Monticello; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Pleasant Springs Cemetery. Family visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
