JoAnn Blankenship Smith, 61, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 at her home. She was born March 17, 1949 in Little Rock.

She was a caregiver and of the Pentecostal Faith. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Blankenship and Gladys Williams and was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Blankenship.

She is survived by her twins, Bobby Coats, Jr of Paragould and Robbie Coats Barnett and husband, Monty of Monticello; one sister, Janet Reep and husband, Bobby of Monticello; two granddaughters, Amber and Heather Barnett of Monticello; three nephews and three nieces and many other relatives and friends.

It was quite emotional for me too because I saw how upset you were, even though I didn't know the meaning of the phone call. You are a good friend and I am truly sorry for you and your family.
