Ms. Betty was a big part of my growing up years. Besides being a family friend, she helped keep me active in 4-H and always encouraged me to do my best. She drove me to competitions all over the state, even to Fayetteville. She took me to the capital to work as a page for the legislature. She attendend most all my functions and kept putting new challenges in front of me. She gave of her own time and money and showed a true interest in my life, and I've witnessed her do the same for so many other Drew County youths. She was a special lady and she will be sorely missed.

Betty and I have been friends for a long, long time. She was one of those friends that everyone needs. She was always there to help me whether it was actually doing something, like driving me to the doctor, or just there to listen. She was one of the most caring people I have ever known. Her world revolved around her family. I will definitely miss Betty. She was like a sister to me.
