Kenneth E. "Kenny" Adams, age 56 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020, in Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born October 26, 1963, to the late Meade Oliver and Agnes Mygnon Simmons Adams in Warren, Arkansas. He graduated from Monticello High School in 1982 and married Denise Worrell on July 23, 1982. They owned Paint and Lighting Plus for twenty-five years. Kenny was a member of Rose Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Pevey Hunting Club. When asked what some of his significant accomplishments were, he answered with, "I worked for a living from age 16 and never had a day without a job from the time I started working for Jackson's Building Supply until I sold the paint store. I also gave blood as often as possible. My fondest memories is the day I met Denise in September of 1981, taking trips with Joshua whether to New Mexico, San Diego, the beach and weekend trips all over Arkansas." Kenny was a great stepdad and taught Joshua wonderful life lessons. He loved searching for arrow heads and artifacts, fishing and deer hunting, but nothing made him prouder than buying an item on a Saturday morning and having it sold before he got home from work at noon that day.
Along with his parents, Kenny is also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Denise of Monticello; stepson, Joshua Murray; and two brothers, Shelton Adams and Greg Adams and wife Ginny all of Monticello.

Monticello, AR Tuesday, August 25, 2020 We send you and your family our heart felt condolences and will continue to keep you in our prayers as you adjust to your loss. Kenny in his quiet way made the world and particularly Monticello a better place. One of our fondest memories was his cheerful offer to help us, strangers at the time, to offload items from our truck at the landfill. Spoke volumes to us of his character and Christian values. He will be greatly missed and know he is with his Redeemer.Carol A Moore
