Terry Lynn Stearns was born to Leon and Nancy Stearns on August 15, 1954, at the Doctors Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. In obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ, he was baptized on November 22, 1970 at Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska, by the Reverend J.C. Wade, Sr. He loved music and with that talent and gift from God, served his church until he moved to Denver, Colorado.
Terry completed the State Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship to be a certified "Glazer" on December 17, 1980. He also became a member of the Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Traders Union on March 15, 1999.
Terry loved life. He especially loved his family and was very proud of them in whatever they attempted to do. He grew up with his cousins, Ronnie, Gene Barnett Wilson, Vonnie Lynn Moore, Daronell Moore, Kevin Lindsey, and Na Lindsey. However, his "best friend" was Jeffery Reynolds up until he left to enter the arms of Jesus.
He leaves to cherish his memory, the mother of his children, Tammy Damper; his sons and daughters, Mrs. Shawntel Wallace, Donya' Sr., Drew, Sr. Marche', and Terrance Jr. Damper, Mike Dunn and Deb Murry; his precious grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Symone, Marcus, Kevin, Alivia, Donya' Jr., Drew, Jr., and Aniya Damper, Danielle Spears, De'June Davis, Mya, Samar, and Michael, Jr. McMillian, Tavion and Zoe Creighton.
Our father was a craftsman that loved his work. He worked with glass companies all over the United States. He also worked for the union. He loved working on trusks that were in need of repair. He always kept his cars and trucks white wall sparkling clean.
During his free time through his life he loved dancing and listening to music. He loved his father and mother dearly and his children were the world to him.
