He was a retired pipeline inspector, a Baptist and a United States Army Veteran based in Fort Leonardwood, MO and stationed in Germany. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Wells and Charles Wells. His hobbies included bullriding, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Earline Peacock Wells of Monticello; two sons, Gerald "Bronc" Wells of West Virginia and Shawn Wells of North Dakota; two grandsons, Tyler Wells and wife Sarabeth of Monticello and Amos Lee Wells of Russia; two great grandsons, Thad and Silas Wells of Monticello; one great granddaughter, Jacy Wells of Monticello; one brother, Laron Wells and wife Francis of Monticello; and one sister, Brenda Noble and husband Ronnie of Tillar; one sister-in -law Peggy Wells of Monroe, LA.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Gary Carter officiating. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
