She was the widow of George Russell Beard, Sr. and a member of First Assembly of God Church of Monticello. Martha was a workaholic always cleaning and sweeping. She was just a housecleaning fanatic.
She was also known for always being dressed up with hair done and her jewelry on. As many know, her favorite color was red. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, J.R. Pace; and a niece, Whitney Blann Greene.
Survivors include her adopted son, George Russell Beard, Jr.; three brothers, Roger Pace and wife Jackie of Monticello, Shannon Pace of Monticello and Paul Pace and wife Donna of Monticello; two sisters, Becky Roberts and husband Merchel of Crossett and Pam Blann and husband Tony of Crossett; numerous nieces and nephews; two very special people, Theresa Amerson and Teresa Smith who lived with her and cared for her; and a special "thank you" to her hospice nurse, Holly Alexander.
Graveside service following Covid-19 guidelines will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in Oakland Cemetery. Please visit our online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
