At an early age Nancy accepted Christ in her life. Nancy graduated from Desha High School and later moved to St. Louis, MO. There she achieved her culinary certification at the Holiday Inn. With a passion for cooking, her journey throughout the St. Louis area. In that journey, she met and married her late husband, Floyd White. After her time in St. Louis, Nancy retired and returned to McGehee to take care of her mother. Nancy belonged to Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Stephens where she was part of the choir. Nancy also attended U.A.M., where she studied Hospitality.
She was the life of the party and loved to sing and dance. She cared deeply for others. To know her was to love her.
Nancy leaves to cherish her memory; three brothers, John Martin, Ronald and Samuel (Rosalyn) Collins; one sister, Carla Johnson; Uncle Edison Williams; a nephew Torin Simon; niece Kimberly Simon; best friends Peggy Robinson, Dorothy Daniels, Tina Simmons and Penny Slater; godchildren, Kimberley Moore, Tyler Carr and Ma'Ki Miller, along with a host of more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
