Dear family, please accept my deepest sympathy at Kat's passing. I saw her several times while I was at BelleView for Rehab any time we had bad weather and had to go to the center of the building. I was always across the room from her but I would wave and she would wave and smile. I am not sure she knew who I was behind that mask but she had a smile for everyone. May God give all of you the comfort you need at this time.

Will miss this sweet girl and the many memories I’ve had in her presence while growing up around Marsha, Al Ray, Sandra, Sharon, and later at Belleview.
Kat had a wonderful sense of Humor and her Joy was Contagious. Her life was not a fairy tale, but the Faith she had in Christ, her Love of People, and her Spunky Attitude brought Joy to others.
I’ve been sending Kat birthday cards for decades. And many years ago, after she had first moved into Belleview, I forgot the date and mailed the card in January instead of February. She promptly got on her typewriter and typed up a funny note to let me know that I was a “little” early!! (I could just hear her giggling as she typed it)! So I sent her another card the next month on the correct date!!
I can only be Happy at the thought of Kat “running and jumping” into the arms of Jesus, her mom and dads, and the other family members that were gone too soon.
Love you Kat, and your Family.💕

I know your hearts are hearting but I also know that you are rejoicing because Kat is whole again. I have know your family since 1981 and love each of you. Kat was truly an inspiration and a wonderful christian who loved her Lord. I always enjoyed seeing her at church and talking with her. May God comfort each of you as only he can.

The whole world was Kats friend, she was also the most beautiful girl to walk the halls of Wilmar High School. Heaven is truly a better place today with KAT there with her big smile.

To the family: Kat always had the sweetest disposition and loved everyone. I could go for years and not see her but when I did see her she still had that sweet smile, knew who I was and I could always get a big hug. We all loved her so much. She is now safe in Jesus arms and reunited with the family that has gone on before. My prayer is that the Lord will give each of you the strength of spirit, peace of mind and comfort that only He can give. May He lift you up and hold you close.
With love and prayers to the entire family,
    Carole Doss Rushing
