She was the widow of L.B. Barnett, a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Myrtle's hobbies included going to church and reading her Bible, fishing and loving and ministering to her friends and family.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by children, Jerry Lee and Phillip Barnett and Altha Smith; a grandson, Jerrod Barnett; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Rose Richardson and husband John of Wilmar, Jo Ann Marter of Monticello, Daron Ray Barnett and Roger Barnett both of Monticello and Michelle Wood and husband Todd of Hermitage; ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with burial in Rash Cemetery. Family visitation will be one hour preceding the funeral service at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
