She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Monticello. She attended school at Drew Central in Monticello. On October 25, 1988, Martha married the love of her life and on April 10,1990, a child was born by the name of Ashley Jacinta Jones whom they loved so dearly.
Martha loved to travel to Saint Louis and other places to visit. She is predeceased by her brother, Bobby Brooks Jr. of Saint Louis MO; her grandfather was the late Hubert Thompson, and the late Armitty Rush, Bernice Wright, and Cornelius Wright.
Martha is survived by her husband, Mr. Keith Jones of Monticello; her mother, Dorothy J. Thompson Brooks of Saint Louis MO; her father, Mr. Wardell Wright Sr. (Rosa Wright step-mother) of Wilmar; her sister, Debbie Wright Dunlap of Monticello; her brother, Wardell Wright Jr. (Alether Wilson-Wright) of McGehee, Brian Douglas Wright of Wilmar, and Vickie Wright, Billy Wayne Brooks (Lisa Brooks) of Saint Louis MO.
She is also survived by her children, Richard McCray of Monticello, Megan Denise Youngblood of Saint Louis, MO, and Ashley J. Jones Of Little Rock; her seven grandchildren; a host of niece and nephews; aunts; her favorite cousins, Pamela Binns, Tonya Binns Doris Jones, Rebecca, Teresa, Tasha Thompson and Wanda Veasey; uncles; and friends, Venus Russel , Dametria Taylor, Evangeline Carr and Ms. Tommie Boyd.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
