She was the widow of Jack Donaldson and James Goggans, a retired boat builder with MonArk Boats of Monticello and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Dorothy was a hard worker with an amazing work ethic and a woman of integrity, yet a very simple woman. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, fishing and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Michael and Larry Barber; and two sisters, Edith Lorene Brooks and Sue Booth.
She is survived by three sons, Floyd Donaldson of Marrero, LA, Mike Donaldson of Kansas City, MO and William Donaldson of Dermott; two brothers, Raymond Barber of Little Rock and Kenneth Barber of Jonesboro; six sisters, Gay Bartlett of Harrison, Polly Jewel of Benton, Pearl Oliver of Benton, Maggie Scholage of Minnesota, Trixie Jones of Little Rock and Peggy Galloway of Redfield; along with eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Larry Donaldson and Rev. Roger Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Centerpoint Cemetery. You can sign Mrs. Dorothy's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
