Don was disabled but served as Chaplain for Grand Rapids, Michigan VA Hospital, was of the Baptist faith, and also served as a cook for various restaurants. He was a Baptist minister in Kentwood, MI, and enjoyed fishing, cooking and fellowshipping with others. Don had a passion for helping and leading others to Christ. Being a reformed addict, he took a special interest in helping people with drug addictions. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cecil and Effie Woods; his paternal grandparents, West and Allie Ridgell; and his stepson, Trey Lucas.
He is survived by his son, Dontrail Ridgell of Little Rock, AR; Stepson, Tilton Rhodes, Jr of Little Rock, AR; sisters, Belinda Matthews of Monticello, AR, Deborah Daniels of Fountain Hill, AR and Cherry Ridgell-Arnold of Hamburg, AR; brothers, Deon (Tiffany) Ridgell of San Mateo, CA, Kevin Ridgell of Dermott, AR and Greg Prunty of Jonesboro, AR; Aunts, Pearlene Binns of Monticello and Bernice Faughtner of Irving, TX; uncles, Joe L. Woods of Mabank TX and Alven Woods of Chicago IL; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
