Mrs.Helen was just one of those ladies who leaves a lasting impression on you, I met Mrs Helen many many years ago as a kid at Collins Baptist church and playing with family members in Collins . one of the things I always remember about her is she always had to tell you about her children, boy was she proud of you and loved you all so very much . funny story when I first took my husband to collins and went to church I gave him the heads up about Mrs Helen and how she loved to talk and her stories would be mostly about her children he looked at me said but I don't know her or any of her kids. I said relax she's old just smile nod and listen .RIP Helen Christmas ! We Will All MISS YOU !!! Shelia Ratledge

My sincere condolences to the family. What a special woman Mama Helen was. A strong believer in God, love for family and friends and Collins Baptist Church.

Such precious memories of her singing specials at church, practicing on specials for church at her house, eating lunch there and visiting. I miss her Sunday afternoon calls.

There wasn’t a high note she couldn’t reach with her Angelic voice. I can just hear she and Tommy singing “Victory In Jesus” right now.

    Love to the family,
    Sue

This is a beautiful picture of her and I want to always remember her looking like this, doing one of the things she loved to do and doing it so well. I am so blessed to have had her as a part of my life; as a child growing up in Collins, and as friend and fellow member of Collins Baptist church. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I loved this little lady so much. She was my friend and my family. She was a true blessing to me and anyone that knew her. She always called to check on me when I missed church. And gave the best advice. She loved flowers as much as I do, and I will never look at a tulip and not think of her. RIP sweet lady.

Our loss is heaven's gain. Helen was such a good friend of mine. She definitely will be missed by a lot of people. She was so very proud of Rodney, Diane, Ernie and Darlene. Don't think I ever talked with her that she didn't mention one of her children.
  15. Larry & Gail Hammil
Larry and I are so sorry to hear about Helen. I have no doubt that she is with her Lord and Savour that she looked so forward to seeing, also Tom, Tommy, and so many others. I know it was a happy reunion. I really missed talking to her after she had to leave home but thought about her often. I always called her my 2nd momma. Prayers for all her family that she loved so much and always talked about. She was so proud of each of you and your accomplishments. May GOD bless and comfort each of you. Love y'all, Harriet Gail Henry Hammil
