He was employed in lawn care and was a Christian. Benny loved being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Iris Hipp.
Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Griffin of Pine Bluff; his mother, Sally Austin of the Rock Springs community; one brother, Harry Dennis Austin of Pine Bluff; two grandsons, Michael and Hunter; a half-sister, Stormy Lusk; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his step-mother, Debbie Austin; and a step-brother, Ricky Hankins.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Rock Springs Community Church with Rev. Marty Reep officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. You can sign Benny's guestbook registry on this page.
