Monticello, AR Saturday, June 8, 2024 To the family: I'm saddened by the news over the loss of such a sweet lady, Ms. Nell. I remember she and Linda Pennington being good friends way back in the Country Melodies' days (2000 to 2008), and both became friends of mine during that time. I guess one could say, I was under their wing for a little while. We had many good conversations together and our share of country line dancing back then (she didn't dance, but Linda did some). It was good, clean fun and we had some really great times! Even though I hadn't seen her in quite some time, like many other friends and acquaintances I've had the pleasure of knowing through the years, she was one I thoroughly enjoyed visiting with. I will never forget how sweet she was to me and what a great sense of style she had! Ya'll have my deepest sympathy, and I will pray fervently for your peace, strength, and comfort in your time of grief. Rest in peace, Ms. Nell. It was so nice being the kind of friends whose long talks were about Jesus Christ and what it meant to be saved and going to heaven. Til we all meet again ... farewell, Ms. Nell, farewell.Jo Calhoun
