Barbara Ann Irons, 76 of Monticello, AR, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR. She was born January 23, 1947, in Monticello, Arkansas to the late Samuel Jessie Pruitt and Christine Berry Pruitt. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Monticello.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Irons; a son, Ricky Irons; brother, Billy W. Pruitt; and sister, Lucille Pennick.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Opal Forrest of Monticello; a granddaughter, Angela Irons of Monticello; a niece, Becky Pruitt of Monticello; and three nephews, Billy D. Pruitt and David Pennick both of Monticello and Douglas Pennick of McGehee.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel in Monticello, Arkansas with Bro. Carroll Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. Pallbearers will be Doug Pennick, Gary Mhoon, Erenest Summerford, Bruce Jones, Tim Toth, and Ben Briney.
